Whipsnade Zoo Trip

A group of students went on the Rotary Club Kids Day Out trip to Whipsnade Zoo. Everyone had a great day out. The sun chose to shine on us but it was not too hot, so we managed to see lots of the animals.

We went for a trip on the train which was a great way to see many of the larger animals, if a little smoky.

Some of the students managed to get right up close to some of the animals and Kimberley made friends with a lemur.

For many of the students the highlight of the trip was the water show where we saw two sea lions do some marvelous tricks and laughed at the people near the front getting very wet.

We had a lovely picnic lunch where everyone had a good appetite from the activities of the morning. We explored more in the afternoon and some groups found the discovery centre where they could be fascinated or frightened by the creepy crawlies and reptiles.

All too soon it was time to go but everyone was tired after a great day out.
