The Chatterbox Group all make use of high tech communication aids to help us talk with our friends. We meet once a week where we practise using our machines to comment, question give information etc.
Each half term we work towards going on a trip out of school where we use our machines in a more social setting and with unfamiliar people. This half term we have been working towards a trip to Potz Ceramic Studio in Northamptonshire.
On Wednesday we went to the Potz studio and met Colleen the owner. She showed us how to decorate plates and bowls. We had a choice of painting a bowl, mug or plate. Some of us chose to decorate a bowl while the rest of us chose to decorate a plate. We then had a go at decorating our own plates or bowls using many different colours and sponges. We had a lot of fun getting messy. Colleen then gave us one large plate so that we could decorate it with all of our hand prints. Colleen was ever so kind and cooked us all some cookies, they were delicious. We would all like to thank Colleen for making the trip so much fun.
