Dragonflies are Class of the Week 16th June
Outdoor summer fun!
The weather has been fantastic this week and Dragonflies have made the most of it to enjoy lots of fun and active outdoor events.
The most notable and enjoyable thing this week has been taking part in the annual Redway School sports day. All of the teams were themed around Formula 1 teams and we had a great time making our own cars with photographs of each of the children in the driving seat! We took part in lots of enjoyable activities on the primary playground. The most enjoyable of them were splashing in the water as we play hook-a-duck, flapping our hands try to catch bubbles and throwing beanbags at the Velcro target. After a brief break to take on fluids and some energy (Rebecca and Nicole particularly enjoyed the biscuits!), we went on the main event – races! All children were helped to pass the baton during the relay race and some of us were even on the winning team!
As it was such a beautiful day, we made the most of it by visiting the park in Woburn Sands where we used the swings, see-saw and climbing frames.
Everybody had a fantastic day and we were all happy - but exhausted – when we returned to school. Let’s hope the good weather continues so that we can enjoy even more fun outdoor play opportunities in the coming weeks.
Have a lovely and restful weekend.
