The first week of the Summer Term has been a busy one. We all welcomed the pupils back to school on Monday and have had a fun filled week of learning.
Thank you all for supporting our Autism Awareness Day on Friday. There were some interesting ‘onesies’ and blue outfits. We held a collection at Reception, the café and Palms stall proceeds will go towards this. The total raised will be counted next week and will be in the Friday Letter.
We had several new school passenger transport runs this week and as always when things change over there are teething problems and there were! However Simon and the team at school managed these well and most have now been sorted, though we still have to put the ‘finer points’ to some next week.
We welcomed to the school our new physiotherapist Katie, who will be working with Kate and Pam 3 days per week. She is very excited with her new role, as are we to have her working with us.
The summer term is always a busy one and we have lots of different activities planned. The list of dates is on the school website but we are really looking forward to our Health Living Week, Sports Mornings as well as everything else that happens this term. Dates to note are May 21st, which is a staff training day, June 30th our summer fete, and Monday July 9th is when school closes at 1:30pm for our parents consultation afternoon. Plus we also have our carnival day – it was such a success last year we had to repeat it for one more time! Class teachers are already planning their end of year day visits out and to some exciting venues! Further details will of course follow.
Hoping that everyone is having a good weekend.
