29th April

After the lovely warm, sunny weather at the end of last week, which we all enjoyed this past week, has been back to normal! All the pupils have continued to have fun in their learning, - especially Jerry’s assembly St George on Friday afternoon.

Pupils from Cassia Class attended a swimming gala and were all very pleased with their achievements and also their medals. This leads nicely on to remind everyone that this week is our Healthy Living Week and we have lots of different activities planned for the pupils from a visit to Planet Ice, to using the wheelyboat at Caldecotte, to singing with Jo as well as a walk to Willen for a picnic lunch then back again with lots of different clues of things to look out for along the way. We are aiming to hold our assembly in the orchard on Friday afternoon to finish the week in style. Hopefully the weather will be kind for us. Just a reminder to everyone to send in spare clothes, waterproofs, sun hats and sun tan cream with your sun / daughter so as we can be prepared for all weathers! Well done to Verity and Helen for sorting out this week – its been a challenge!

As you will all know our topic for this term is ‘The Caribbean’ and this week I have booked a steel band to come to school, to perform to the pupils and lead some workshops. This will be on May 22nd and we would like all pupils (and staff) to dress in bright colours for the day! Please remember that Monday May 21st is a Training Day and so school will be closed for all pupils.

We have to say ‘Well Done’ to Grace’s Dad, Rich for completing last weeks London marathon in the hottest day ever for it! We also hope that Ashlyn’s Dad, Wayne is doing well in todays Milton Keynes marathon.

Hoping that you are all having a good weekend.
