Redway has been a busy place this week!
On Tuesday to support our whole school topic of The Caribbean we all experienced a wonderful day of steel pans playing and performing. This ended with the majority of the school listening, dancing and enjoying a performance at the end of the day. This was enhanced by the lovely sunny weather, as we held the workshops on the field.
Wednesday brought our Early Years Sports Morning; although a tad chilly we all embraced the morning with a ‘Con Brio’ spirit in true Redway style. It was lovely to see so many parents and carers as well as some grandparents come along to support the morning. Everyone had a fun time – well done to Verity, Helen and the PE team in organising this.
The Transitions Café was busy on Friday – it was good to see so many people there and over the year how well it has been supported, especially by those of you who kindly make cakes for the students to sell. It is very much appreciated. We are now looking to source a ‘proper’ till (not like the one in Open All Hours) for the students to use.
Over half term, as always we are having work done in school as well as a deep clean, including the pool which is closed all this week to facilitate this.
Next half term is always a busy one but a fun one. We have the school summer fayre, summer concert, an outdoor learning day for families, two more sports mornings, end of year trips, parents consultation afternoon, Calvert Trust Residential, carnival day and lots more to which to look forward.
Hoping that you all have a lovely and relaxing half term week.
