Buttercups and Dragonflies Class Focus 8th June
Buttercups continue to enjoy the Caribbean topic. We have started a new sensory story- Creepy Crawly Calypso – exploring various insects and musical instruments. Our aim is to have our own band- just like in the story.
We have built our own boats to sail in the Caribbean and went under the water to discover the starfish.
Mostly we have enjoyed the sunny days, going out for walks. This week we went to the Marina to feed the ducks.
We have also been building great friendships, enjoying break times together, playing on the playground and meeting new friends or just having cuddle time on the mats on a rainy day.
Dragonflies have had a wonderful week, especially enjoying Sports Morning in the sun! We would like to say a special thank you to all the parents that came to join in! The children loved the races, especially the hurdles and the obstacle course. Before the event, they enjoyed creating their flags which they wore with pride for the parade.
As well as Sports Morning, Dragonflies enjoyed making Caribbean smoothies this week. All of the children joined in by choosing and cutting the fruit, operating the big switch, and tasting their creation (as well as getting a little bit messy!).
