What a week this has been! It’s been a very busy and exciting one.
Sunflowers and Daffodils both had their end of term trips (not together and to different venues) and a good time was had by all!
But we had our further two sports day mornings where everyone at every level participated and engaged well – including the staff race and the parent’s race on Thursday! Well done to all the staff for ensuring this was a success but also to Team PE for organising. We were once again supported by DHL and we are forever grateful for all their help, support and encouragement. Fortunately the weather was kind to us and the sun shone on both days. There were a lot of proud pupils at the end of each morning wearing their medals for most of the day. Fantastic!
There is a lot happening this half term, dates are on the school website for reference, but a highlight is our Summer Concert. We have chosen the songs and classes are already well along the way of finalising plans for their performance – all we need now is the band to sort ourselves out, making sure we all play in the same key – always a challenge and in rehearsals a good debating point!
Next Friday brings the Calvert Trust residential. Seven students and seven staff will be off down to Devon for a week of team building, challenges and fun! We are all looking forward to it, but as I will also be away there will not be a Headteachers Weekly Update - but do look out for the photographs and videos what we will post on our school Facebook page.
So with that in mind - I’d best go and pack a bag or two!
Hoping you are all having a lovely weekend.
