It’s definitely been ‘Hot Hot Hot!’ this week both in and out of school! But we have had lots of fun with outside learning (in the shade) and also lots of water play which is always a good vehicle for developing and extending pupils communication and interaction skills as well as keeping cool!
More classes have been on their end of term visits - some went to Mead Open Farm; others to Whipsnade Zoo and pupils from Cassia had a very successful overnight camping stay at Basil’s Barn!
Our new teacher Chloe is now with us and spending time in different classes learning about the pupils and the school. Congratulations go to Sarah for qualifying as a teacher. Our class groups for September are now finally sorted and teachers allocated. We have decided to rename the classes to link to the history of Milton Keynes, so we have classes with the formulae one teams that are or used to based in Milton Keynes, different areas, different gates and the lakes of Milton Keynes. The challenge will be remembering who is who!
This week we have been hard at work practicing the songs for Tuesday’s summer concert and had fun in doing so. I’m sure you will all enjoy the songs, do come along and join us. Though please remember that space in the church is very tight so only 2 adults per child to attend, and we ask everyone to sit upstairs and with the full school there will be no space at all downstairs. It is one of the highlights of our school year and we are all looking forward to it.
Please remember that on Monday school closes at 1:30pm for all our pupils to enable parent’s consultation afternoon to occur. We look forward to seeing you during the afternoon, where you will be presented with your son / daughters end of year subject report. I’m sure you will enjoy reading them and also looking at the wonderful photographs they contain.
This week brings the first of our Transition Days on Wednesday, where pupils will spend the full day with their new class teachers and staff.
As always it is busy end to the school year.
Hoping everyone is having a good weekend and enjoying the sunshine.
