24th November

On Monday we held our Parents Consultation Afternoon, which was well attended. We were pleased with all the positive comments from parents and carers about the work that we do. It’s always good to have these discussions about how your son / daughter is at school and the work that we have been doing.

We had a visitor  - all the way from America this week. Nate, who used to teach at The Redway and his daughter came and spent a morning in school, catching up with staff and those pupils whom he used to teach. It was great to see them and everyone, as always made them very welcome.

On a completely different note we have had an issue with the pool air and water temperature towards the end of the week. The engineers who need to sort it were unable to attend on Friday but are coming on Monday, hopefully to sort the problem out.

On Monday work starts outside Brabham and Red Bull classrooms where we are having a bucket swing and other outside equipment installed. We are all very excited about this!

Also on Monday we have our Parents Support Group Meeting at 10:30am – do come along, you will all be very welcome.

Our class Christmas outings begin this week.  Christmas seems to be creeping upon us very quickly; we even have band practice for the concert tomorrow after school! However, as always we will ensure that once again it’s a magical Christmas at The Redway for everyone.

Our Christmas Craft Fayre is on Monday December 10th and we would welcome donations of bric a brac, toys, any items for the tombola and bottle stalls as well as cakes to sell. Please note though that we are not having a clothes stall or one for books and DVD’s. This year the layout is going to be in different areas of the school – further information will follow. As always we have a raffle with some wonderful prizes and the tickets are now on sale from Reception at £1 per strip.

Finally please remember that school is closed on Friday November 30th for staff training

Hoping everyone is having a good weekend.
