5th May

What a wonderful week we have all had.  This years Healthy Living Week has been full of positivity, learning and embracing new challenges. Everyone has truly engaged in all the activities, from the long walk or cycle to Willen, to a range of activities at Caldecotte, karting, football and cheerleading to name some.

Although at the end of the week there were some tired pupils and also staff, it was well worth it for the happy smiling faces on all pupils participating in the diverse activities and the achievements that were accomplished. Well done to all staff for truly embracing the week but especially so to Verity, Helen and Mel – Team PE for organising it all, as well as not forgetting the team in the kitchen for providing so many off site lunches! It’s always a challenge but well worth it.

There are lots of wonderful photographs from the week, some of which Sam will be putting into a newsreel to be shown in school.

Other news -  the new allotment area in school at the rear of Aston Martin and Mercedes class is developing well. The raised planters that Tim has built, together with the  input from class teachers, the Forest School Team  as well as the pupil’s work is starting to bloom and be productive. There will be some good hanging baskets and plants on sale at the summer fayre in June.

The summer fayre is on June 29th – we would welcome any contributions for this. As storage space in school is limited it would be appreciated if you could bring items for sale in the week of June 24th and not before. As always there will be a raffle  - tickets will be on sale after half term. All monies raised will be used to support activities for our pupils.

I hope that everyone is having a relaxing Bank Holiday Weekend.
