18th May

It’s been a quiet week in school with everyone. We definitely made the most of the sunshine at the start of the week with a lot of off site learning occurring, about which I was pleased.

Our outdoor learning activities continued, at Basil’s Barn, the allotments – off site and on site, at the orchard, as well as visits further afield and locally. Some pupils were keen to try their skills at making different items and focussed very well requiring minimum support.

This week’s assembly was all about the festival of Wesak or Buddha Day – some pupils were very interested in the artefacts used.

Next week is the last week of this half term – it’s amazing how quickly the time has flown by this year. On Wednesday we have the first of our sports activity mornings about which letters were sent home this week. We have two more after the half term holiday. Please do come along and join us – they are always a fun time and hopefully the weather will be kind to us.

We have lots planned for next half term – including a sing a long in the orchard for everyone, to which you will be invited rather than a summer concert at the church. Dates for all activities will be circulated soon.

Hoping you are all having a lovely weekend.
