Orchard Summer Concert 2019
This year we decided to have a different summer concert – a sing a long in our wonderful local orchard. This meant that we were all able to walk to the venue where we were joined by parents, carers and friends of the school as well as passers-by who were out walking their dogs! It was also wonderful to see Josh who left last year, back with us with his parents.
The weather was favourable – a glorious sunny afternoon and once we arrived we settled under the apple trees, or some pupils wandered around freely meeting and greeting friends from other classes.
The band had already set up when everyone arrived with their microphones and amplifiers, and all classes had brought along instruments, parachutes, bubbles and other such item in which to engage the pupils fully in the sing along.
As always, we sang some of our favourite songs, ‘Elephants have wrinkles,’ ‘Let’s go fly a kite,’ ‘The Rainbow Song’ to name but a few.
The afternoon was enjoyed by all, it was relaxed where we could all revel in the music as well as the beautiful wonders of the natural world around us. It certainly was a ‘Wow” afternoon for everyone’s well-being.
