The Carnival Returns to The Redway!
The end of each academic year seems to approach quicker and quicker each year.
In true Redway ‘I can and will do’ spirit we once again celebrated this in style with the return of our annual carnival. Who else but us brings a merry go round and other fairground rides and equipment to school?
On Wednesday July 17th everyone – pupils and staff dressed in bright colours for our carnival day. As well as the traditional merry go round, we had tea cup rides and a transport themed ride, plus a bouncy castle. The tumble track was available in the gym, interactive activities in the hall, paddling pools on the field, forest school and sensory activities on the top field.
Candy floss, ice cream, were imbibed and lunch was in true fairground style – hot dogs and chips!
Needless to say, there were lots of very happy pupils who, once again experienced activities that would not usually be available for them. The smiles on their faces, their reactions on the day as well as the evidence of their engagement in the photographs say it all.
This would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the staff, friends as well as parents and carers, who have over the school year raised funds for this event, giving up their precious time. Such fund raising included, participating in the Wolf Run, a member of staff having their hair cut short, collecting at the MK Dons football stadium to name but a few.
On behalf of the strategic leadership team at the school including the governors thank you to everyone for making this special day once again possible.
