Summer Activity Scheme 2019
Fun, fun and more fun! This sums up the first two weeks of the school summer holidays when we held our summer activity scheme.
As always, the demand for places was higher than we could accommodate but we endeavoured to ensure that we had as many pupils in each day as staffing and risk assessments would permit.
We definitely made the most of the lovely, sunny weather with everyone loving the paddling pool experiences (we managed without the use of the hydro pool- amazingly!) Even though we experienced the hottest day of the year we all managed to stay cool, keep hydrated and ensured that no one experienced over exposure to the sun. This was more than an achievement!
Pupils thoroughly enjoyed a variety of off site visits including local walks – which were especially invigorating for pupils and staff, going to the Lido at Woburn for swimming, bowling, park visits to Irchester, Emberton, Daventry to name but a few as well as a day at the zoo for some.
On site activities included a lot of water and messy play, forest schools and outdoor learning activities with Lee, cooking, art, massage, resonance boards, the big drum, using the tumble track and of course the end of day sing a longs with Brad, Judi, Lee and Ian.
It goes without saying that all the pupils and staff had a fun packed two weeks and the photographs of the happy, smiling faces speak more than words can say.
Without the dedication and commitment of the staff who opted to work these two weeks this would not have been possible so a huge thank you has to go to them.
Happy holidays everyone, keep safe, well, have fun and live life to the full. Let’s hope that the sun continues to shine.
We will all look forward to seeing all our pupils back in school on September 4th.
