This term we have continued our ‘Monsters’ topic. We have enjoyed reading ‘The Gruffalo’ by Julia Donaldson and ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ by Maurice Sendak. We loved feeling the cold blue sea and standing Max on the sail boat he uses to travel in “Where the Wild Things Are”.

Sunflowers Class Newsletter March 2017

This term we have continued our exploration of The Gruffalo and the life of such a terrifying monster! We have been making our own play dough, and using that to mold our own little monsters! We have explored the different parts of this creature – from his bright orange eyes to the purple prickles all down his back!

This half term has been just as busy as the last. We have continued to search for minibeasts, enjoyed being up on the field with Lee and Carolyn in Forest School and reading lots of books at Westcroft Library.
