Jeans for Genes Day 2017

Once again, both pupils and staff were pleased and eager to support ‘Jeans for Genes’ Day on Friday 22nd September. After all it is the only day of the academic year that staff can wear blue denim – but they have to donate to be able to do so, to this good cause. Which everyone did! The annual coffee morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Care is a special one in the life of The Redway School. Several members of our school team and their families as well as some of our parents and carers have been supported during difficult times by this good cause. We had lot of wonderful donations of cakes – a friend of Rebecca’s Mum made two very special cakes one of which we put into a raffle. Hello Everyone The Carty family and our friends are involved with 17 in 17 for The Redway School, a charity event which runs throughout 2017, well it's an event that consists of 17 events/ challenges. It's mainly made up of running and cycling events which which are the long boring ones with some other more fun/ team based events. Wear it Yellow Day 1st July

Last Friday the school was awash with colour as all pupils and staff wore something yellow for the day. The hall was very bright and cheerful during assembly.This was in support of raising awareness of Strep B and to raise money for the support group.  Yellow, tops, socks, armbands, laces and hair braids were worn with everyone donating £1 to this good cause. Macmillan Coffee Morning Friday September 25th 2015

The Transitions Café hosted its annual coffee morning in support of Macmillan to raise money for this fabulous charity that does so much to support families affected by cancer. This year the event was especially pertinent as one of our dedicated members of staff sadly lost her husband after a long 8 year challenge with cancer. Riding for Miss E and The Redway School

Well done to Emily’s Dad James for successfully completing the Prudential Bike Ride London. A gruelling 100 mile cycle ride through London, into Surrey finishing with a cycle up The Mall. This is a fantastic achievement and everyone at school as well as family and friends of James and Sheryl are revelling in James’s success.
