Post 16 is Class of the Week 5th February (Post 16)

Post 16 have had a great start to the term; we have enjoyed getting on with some of our favourite activities and having a go at some new ones. We continue to go to the hotel for work experience; we have also visited the Buddhist temple to work in the garden there. We have also focused on new activities for leisure time such as a trip to the theatre and tobogganing!
Last week we were fascinated by the chemical reactions in Science week, everyone enjoyed making the ‘lava lamp’; some of us were not so keen on the zoo lab animals! We were very surprised by the outcome of our ‘cola experiment’.
We now also have our own tropical fish in post 16 which all students are helping to look after, they need feeding everyday.
This week we are enjoying MFL week, this year’s focus is German. As part of our PSHE session we found out the German names for facial features, some of us now know these in both French and German! As always, though, our favourite MFL activity has been tasting different kinds of foods, in our ‘Ready, Steady, Cook’ activity we made Black Forest Gateaux!
