Monday 12th of December 2016
On Wednesday 7th December Caterpillars and Bumblebees classes joined forces for our annual Christmas trip to St Mary’s Church in Woughton on the Green. We are very fortunate that each year we are welcomed back by Paul, Norma and Brian to enjoy an intimate Christingle making activity followed by listening to the Church bells. This year Brian demonstrated ringing the Church bells and we listened very carefully. CJ told us the bells go “ding dong” and was very excited to have a turn. He...

Forest School Christmas Party December 2016

Sunday 11th of December 2016
On a dry but muddy Friday, Daffodils, Bluebells and Chestnuts classes set off for a Forest School Christmas party in the woods.   The children were very excited to be all together in the woods, and were very keen to explore and show the Chestnuts children the dens and secret footpaths in and around the trees. Sarah and Lee got the fire going, while Cora took on the role as the “Tea lady” with the Kelly kettle.  There was a wonderful aroma of a wide variety of sausages cooking (to...

Wednesday 7th of December 2016
What an amazing day was had by all at Gulliver's Land.  We spent time on the fast rides to begin with, the children loved them but the staff turned a little green! Before tucking into our lovely packed lunches we had fun in the soft play area. Polly and Lexi were hesitant at going down the slide but Rakshit, Alfie H, Alfie S, Emmanuel E, Emmanuel Q and Zayan all zoomed down without a second thought! We had time with Father Christmas together and Alfie S decided to give him a really BIG...

‘It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!’ Certainly this week Christmas has begun – we had 2 rehearsals for the concert at Christ the Cornerstone this week - - the band almost managed to keep in time and play in the same key! But all will be well on Tuesday – we always rise to the challenge. Please remember if you are coming to this concert that we ask you sit upstairs as space is very tight. Our second concert is on Thursday morning at 10:30am at St Mary’s,...

Hazel in their spots!
Sunday 20th of November 2016
There has been a lot happening in school this week – we have had several poorly pupils for whom we have had to call an ambulance and who we hope are now well on the road to recovery. Its always upsetting for staff when this happens but swift actions were taken with the correct procedures followed – especially a pool evacuation – which confirmed that our plans for such an event work well. Well done to all staff involved for remaining calm and being supportive not only of the pupils but...

Crystal enjoys a moment with Mum during the official opening of the Transitions Department
Saturday 5th of November 2016
First, all staff had a good and relaxing half term holiday as we hope you all did too. There was a real ‘buzz’ in the atmosphere at the start of the staff-training day on Monday. We began the day with a team building activity a ‘little bit of fun’ before moving on to more serious matters. I did a whole school presentation about our values and staff discussed our significant strengths. These will soon be posted on our website. After which staff participated in a wealth of training,...
