The assembly bugs!
Saturday 15th of October 2016
We have had a quiet week in school, though there has been lots of very active learning happening. Lots of classes have been making the most of the autumn sunshine taking their learning outside both around school and out into the community. Well done to Genna and everyone who contributed to last Mondays parents support group meeting. There was a lot of positive feedback. If you were unable to attend and would like information about it please do make a note in your son / daughters home school books and we...

Poppies are Class of the Week 14th October

Charlie
Friday 14th of October 2016
The children in Poppies are feisty and fun. Everyone has their own personality and interests. Charlie is our dark horse; he astounded everyone when he began to scoot around on the bike, with a big grin on his face. Elly has a personality which shines like a light bulb.  She is still discovering what the Redway School has to offer and seems to be enjoying every minute. Sammy just loves people and is always ready for interactive games. Jed is a great enthusiast. He loves every lesson and is...

Aiden focuses on Jenny's signing
Saturday 8th of October 2016
Our main focus this week has been our celebration of the Harvest and Autumn. We were, as always warmly welcomed by Paul the Vicar and his helpers at St Mary’s Church, Woughton on the Green on both Wednesday and Thursday. ‘The sun shone on the righteous’ as we were blessed by warm autumn sunshine on both days for our walk to and from the church. The walk there and back really does make it a special occasion and all pupils enjoyed it – some even had a snack in the orchard on the...

Jaydon helps Sabrina take orders in the first café of the new school year
Saturday 1st of October 2016
This week we have all been preparing for our Harvest Festival’s at St Mary’s Church next week. We have all been practicing our favourite harvest songs and brushing up on our signing, with the help of Ann and Brenda. It’s quite uplifting to start the day with a sing a long, though I think some of the new staff may think otherwise! Classes have also been preparing their harvest boxes, decorating them in a variety of different ways. Please do remember to send in some produce for them and...

Maple are Class of the Week 30th September

Finlay enjoying our Macbeth lesson
Friday 30th of September 2016
Maple have had a very busy start to the term. In our literacy lessons we have been learning about Macbeth. We are enjoying pretending to be the three witches and making lots of potions “double double toil and trouble!”. Last week in our community session we visited the shopping centre. We bought ourselves a snack and then went exploring. David and Lewis found a table football to play on and Milli-Ann just wanted to look at everything! We have started our work on the rainforest. We...

25th September

Sunday 25th of September 2016
This week - week 3 of the new academic year has been more than busy! Every day I have monitored how far I walk in school and it varies between 7.5km and 11.5km! I’m sure a lot of staff also are walking more than usual especially the staff in the new Transitions Department who are up and down throughout the day, depending on the students timetable. We will be the fittest school in Milton Keynes by Christmas! We appointed three new STA's on Thursday, one of whom is starting tomorrow,...
