Louise O'Dell : Senior Teacher

I have been working at the Redway School since 2003, initially as a Midday Meals Supervisor then a Specialist Teaching Assistant.  I loved working with children and made some good friends in the process and soon realised that I wanted to stay in Special Education. With the full support of the school Leadership team and four years of hard work I achieved QTS in 2009 and have been working as a teacher in Early Years Foundation Stage ever since!

The Redway School has a fantastic team ethos and the children are always number one priority as they should be.  Within Early Years we have been able to develop special supportive relationships with families which in turn creates that fantastic trusting atmosphere which the children thrive on.  We have a lot of fun, work very hard and learn through it every day.

The school is very forward thinking, especially when it comes to technology which is extremely motivating for me as I am known to be quite ‘geeky’ and enjoy computing and photography!  I also enjoy singing and am currently learning to play the guitar in my spare time.
