Lantern Making Workshop

On Tuesday November 24th we were joined once again by Polly’s Grandmother who led 2 workshops with pupils from Daffodils and Transitions in making lanterns for our Christmas Concerts. The lanterns the pupils made will be used alongside those that staff made on our training day in November to form an integral part in both the schools Christmas Concerts. Transition Café

The Transitions Café has been set up and successfully run by students from the Transitions department for the past five years. The café serves the school students, staff and the wider community. This year the café has some new students and staff members joining the team. They enjoy serving the customers and taking the money. The Urban Farm

The Urban Farm (Growing People) is situated in Wolverton, Milton Keynes. The project is organised by the Christian Foundation. Their mission statement includes “growing food, growing people, growing community.” Transition students from the Redway School have been visiting the Urban Farm on a weekly basis for several years now. Sailing for students from the Transitions Department

Friday 9th of October 2015
It’s plain sailing for students from the Transitions Department as they take to the water while working towards an ASDAN leisure module. Five pupils have been out and about on the lake at Caldecotte as they enjoy time in canoes and sailing boats on Thursday afternoons. It has certainly been a case of all hands on deck as the young people have helped steer, paddle and sail craft during the exciting activity sessions.
