Monday 29th of July 2019
Our annual visit to The Calvert trust was, once again a huge success. Our pupils all excelled, achieved and grew in confidence as the week went along facing challenges new. A highlight of the week was being the first group to use the newly refurbished zip wire, which was a vast improvement on the old one. The weather was kind to us as we participated in the full range of outdoor activities which included  as well as the zip wire, sailing, canoeing, climbing, high ropes, abseiling, crate staking...

Wavendon - End of Year Trip 2019

Wednesday 17th of July 2019
Wavendon End of Year Trip to Rushden Lakes and Irchester. Wavendon had a little adventure to Rushden Lakes. At Rushden Lakes  we visited Rock Up and spent some time in the soft play and clambering through the foam pit. Unfortunately, we were unable to try out the climbing wall and so therefore, we went for a walk around the lake. We all liked stopping at the viewing points, looking out across the lake. We ventured to Irchester Country Park where we had our Picnic Lunch. We managed to have some time...

Tuesday 16th of July 2019
For our end of term trip, Woburn class went to the Norfolk coast and sunny Hunstanton with its sandy beaches… unfortunately it was not sunny and the sand was buried under stone! It didn’t stop us having a great day though. Our class was fantastic on the long bus trip and had no qualms at all in getting straight into a very cold Sea!

Jaguar - End of Year Trip 2019

Friday 5th of July 2019
Jaguar have clearly loved the Great Outdoors this year so have spent their end of term trip at Irchester Country Park. The pupils were excited on arrival and started off with a leisurely woodland walk. On the walk we collected natural objects, such as pine-cones and daisies and listened to the birds and natural sounds around us. We even made friends with the many dogs we saw on their walks! After a pleasant picnic lunch in a stunning field with wildflowers and long grasses we made our way over to the...

Brabham - End of Year Trip 2019

Tuesday 2nd of July 2019
Brabham went to Emberton park for our end of year trip. The weather was perfect; dry and not too hot. We enjoyed a stroll round the lake, we saw a heron and lots of cyclists, otherwise it was very peaceful. We then returned to base to setup camp for the next couple of hours. We cooked our own food over the BBQ which we all thoroughly enjoyed. The picnic area was near the park so some of us chose to go and have an explore whilst the rest of us enjoyed a massage and some relaxation time.

Aston Martin - End of Year Trip 2019

Sunday 30th of June 2019
For our end of year trip, Aston Martin went paddleboarding at Caldecotte Lake. The weather was glorious no breeze and the sun was shining (perfect conditions for paddleboarding). After getting changed into our wetsuits and putting on our helmets, we all got on board the orange speed boat to the far side of the lake where the paddleboards were waiting for us. Some of us were doing forward and backward rolls on the boards, others working on maintaining good balance and others spent most of the time in the...

Residential Visit to The Calvert Trust – June 16th – 23rd 2017

Friday 30th of June 2017
Once again a group of 8 students and 8 staff travelled down to The Calvert Trust, in Devon for an exciting week of outdoor activities, challenges and fun. We were there during the hottest days ever in June, which in itself presented us with a challenge of ensuring we all kept as cool as possible, drank a lot of water and also did not get sun burnt. We succeeded! Even when we went to Saunton Sands beach, the chap who rented out parasols, deck chairs etc let us borrow 2 parasols which provided us with...
