Getting Involved
We welcome and appreciate all support from parents and carers during the school day and encourage the active involvement of parents / carers in a number of ways, some of which include:
- The Annual Review Meetings which includes the development and review of Individual Education Plans.
- Daily contact between home and school through the home school books. This is a way of communication between home and school about what has been happening and how home and school may support each other.
- Home visits.
- Discussion by telephone.
- The parent Consultation Evenings held twice a year.
- At our coffee mornings for parents.
- By providing courses for parents, for example Signalong signing.
- The open mornings held twice per year.
- Through the Friday Letter which gives information of events occurring in the school and supplies details of forthcoming events.
- Joining us in the celebrations of special occasions during the school year for example the Harvest Festival, Christmas Concert, Easter Celebrations, Eid and Diwali Assemblies.
- Helping in school with class based activities, swimming and hydrotherapy.
- Accompanying off site visits which support the curriculum.
